That guy says they sell the memory, but only bundled together with an iMac purchase, not separately. First person says they no longer do memory upgrades in-store, but he puts me on hold so I can talk to someone at the actual location. They wanted to know who to go see about getting the memory upgrade (I'd priced it out for them, looking up the memory at since we don't seem to carry the memory necessary to upgrade an iMac). They also decided to do the 10% back and put it all on a Best Buy card. They opted to get some accessories and software at the same time. sold her on the 2 TB Fusion drive variant we offer. I know the 27" 5K iMac can technically be upgraded to 64 GB (32 GB recommended), and after going over the new capabilities, the 5K screen, etc. So, an out-of-town customer comes in, does photography work, wants a new desktop Mac to replace her aging Mac that she had configured with 24 GB of memory (allegedly). TL DR: Apparently memory upgrades on iMacs are fucking unicorns and nobody wants to do them
